2023 Acura Integra vs. 2022 Honda Accord 2.0T

2023 Acura Integra vs 2022 Honda Accord 2.0T
Living the performance lifestyle should be affordable to everyone. There's where the Integra and Accord 2.0T come in. Both offer more power than the average sedan under a lower price range that allows everyone a chance to get in on the fun without needing to break the bank. But if you're going to decide between the 2023 Acura Integra and the 2022 Honda Accord 2.0T, which one is actually worth your money? The Delray Acura team is here to show you the answer.
2023 Acura Integra vs 2022 Honda Accord 2.0T
The Integra and Accord 2.0T are both great options when it comes to premium sports compacts, but you'll soon find that the Integra offers more for your dollar, and it looks way more stylish. We expected nothing less from Acura's big comeback with the popular car since its previous run well over a decade ago.
Performance
We were excited to find out that the new Integra comes equipped with a VTEC engine that's specially designed for optimal performance output. The 1.5L Turbo has a 200-horsepower output paired with your choice of a 6-speed manual transmission or a CVT system. So you can be more in control of your drive, Acura included Rev-Match Control and an Integrated Dynamics System including modes like sport, comfort, normal, and individual. With these features combined, you can make your Integra truly yours with a drive feel that's personal to you.
The base Honda Accord 2.0T also comes equipped with a 1.5L VTEC Turbo engine, but it only has 192 horsepower. You'll need to upgrade to the 2.0L engine if you want to get 252 horsepower out of your ride, but then at that point, you're sacrificing the affordability aspect and at a certain point you might as well go with a higher-end performance car. And as far as intuitive driving features go, the only thing worth pointing out is the addition of adaptive dampers.
Safety Features
Acura also has so much to offer when it comes to your safety with AcuraWatch coming standard in all of their models. But on top of AcuraWatch, you can also receive the assistance of a Blind Spot Information System, Rear Cross Traffic Monitor, Low-Speed Braking Control, and a head-up display projected directly onto the windshield. All of these incredible features working together will actively protect you on the road so you can feel better about pushing the Integra to the limit!

We give the Accord 2.0T credit for including all the basic and very useful features such as a blind spot information system, rearview camera, auto high beams, head-up display, low-speed braking control, and a cross-traffic monitor. That's honestly all you need for a confident drive, but the Integra is still more impressive in comparison and it's always nice to have the extras handy just to feel even more in control on the road.
Interior
Getting inside the Acura Integra is one of our favorite pastimes because of all the fun technology integrated into a sleek and visually-appealing cabin. Everything about the Integra's interior will excite the racer in you, especially if you upgrade to the A-Spec package designed for the performance enthusiast with microsuede-lined sports seats and sporty-looking pedals. Even in the base trim, you can enjoy ambient LED lighting and a 10.2-inch digital display cluster that shows you details of your selected drive mode in high-res. You can also opt-in for an available ELS Studio system with 16 speakers including two overhead and one integrated into the cargo area for an immersive surround sound experience.
The Accord 2.0T isn't as impressive, but it does come with the basics like an 8-inch center display and an available 10-speaker audio system. But after a fun night out in the Integra, hopping into an Accord will feel incredibly lackluster.
Bottom Line
For close to the same starting price, you'll be glad you went with the new 2023 Acura Integra for a more intimate drive and a fun cabin to entertain you and any guests. With the last Integra being released as far back as 2006, this new version is a welcome resurrection that goes hard.Â
