2023 Acura Integra vs 2022 Honda Civic SI

2023 Acura Integra vs 2022 Honda Civic SI
The return of the Integra nameplate to the Acura lineup has excited fans and long-time drivers of the model. But how does it measure up to the 2022 Honda Civic SI?
Our team at Delray Acura puts these two vehicles to the test based on specifications, features, and performance. Though there are several similarities between the two vehicles, there are many differences to discuss. Let's go!
Performance
The Integra has one engine choice, a turbocharged 1.5-liter inline-four cylinder. The Civic comes standard with a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter inline-four-cylinder engine. Both engines make 200 horsepower and 192 lb-ft of torque.
The Integra differs from the Civic in its transmission choices. Both offer a six-speed manual transmission, but the Integra combines the 200-hp version with a CVT or continuously variable transmission. The Civic SI is manual only.
Since these vehicles are mechanically similar, they perform within just a few ticks of each in various performance tests. The manual Integra can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 7.0 seconds, while the Civic SI can do it in 6.8 seconds.
According to the EPA, the Integra is rated at up to 33 mpg combined while the Civic earns 36 mpg combined.
Interior
Though there are plenty of parts that are shared with the Honda Civic, Acura designed a cabin that looks right at home in the brand's lineup with styling cues taken from the TLX sedan and the RDX SUV.
Heated sports seats that are wrapped in faux leather come standard and feature an eight-way power adjustment for the driver. The rear seat is spacious enough for two adults.
The Honda Civic SI has an exclusive set of sport seats with SI logos on the headrests and red contrast stitching. This red stitching extends to the doors, steering wheel, and other surfaces as well. The driver faces an analog speedometer and a digital tachometer.
The Honda Si no longer offers heated seats though its back seats are comfortable for two adults.
Technology
A 10.2-inch digital gauge display comes standard across the entire Integra lineup and provides reconfigurable information for the driver. It also comes with a 7.0-inch infotainment display as a standard option, with a larger 9.0-inch unit as an upgrade.Â
All Integra models also feature Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and an eight-speaker stereo, though a 16-speaker ELS Studio 3D premium stereo system is available.
The Integra also offers an upgraded Technology Package that includes wireless smartphone charging, an adaptive suspension system, and more!
The SI comes equipped with a 9.0-inch touchscreen that has a handy volume knob and a couple of other physical buttons. It also has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities, and a standard 12-speaker Bose audio system.
Safety
The Integra also comes with numerous standard driver assistance and safety features including:
- Automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection
- Lane-keeping assist
- Adaptive cruise control
- And more!
The Honda Civic SI also comes equipped with ample safety and driver-assistance features. These include:
- Standard forward-collision warning and automated emergency braking
- Standard lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assist
- Standard adaptive cruise control
- And more!
Bottom Line
Though the 2023 Honda Civic edges out the 2023 Acura Integra slightly in terms of mpg, it can't beat the standard features and amenities that are included in the Integra. These vehicles are pretty close in terms of specs, but the Integra is the vehicle to buy in this comparison!
