The Acura RDX: A Solid Sport Crossover

Starting off strong, the 2023 Acura RDX already offers a better-than-average ride with extreme power and a driving experience that’s thrilling, comfortable, and fun. It comes with a 2.0L VTEC Turbo engine capable of 272 horsepower which is sure to impress. And since it’s a premium sport crossover, you can enjoy intuitive features and design choices like available adaptive dampers, electric power steering, a re-tuned iBooster braking system, four distinct drive modes, and of course, Acura’s famous Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive system.

As far as the interior goes, you can be greeted by the available NSX-inspired Ultrasuede trim paired with authentic materials like real wood and aluminum. Iconic Drive Ambient Cabin Lighting effortlessly sets the mood while you easily control the 10.2-inch touchscreen and 16-speaker ELS Studio system with the True Touchpad Interface. And as to be expected from a premium ride, the RDX also comes with Wi-Fi hotspot and Alexa capability along with a wireless device charge pad.

The Acura MDX: An Upgraded Ride

With the Acura RDX already providing such an excellent ride, what else could the MDX possibly offer? In the new 2023 Acura MDX, to put it simply, everything is bigger and better. While the RDX is suitable enough for many drivers, the MDX acts as an improved version for those looking to treat themselves to a more luxurious ride.

The Type S Difference

The MDX comes standard with a 3.5L V6 engine at 290 horsepower which offers a bit more kick, but going with the Type S variant will get you a 3.0L Turbo V6 engine at 355 horsepower for a distinct difference. And along with your usual sporty features, the MDX is also built with a double-wishbone front suspension, ultra-rigid chassis, longer wheelbase, larger Brembo front brake calipers, quad exhaust outlets, and an available air suspension that’s only an option for the Type S.

Enhanced Technology

Inside, you’ll notice a larger 12.3-inch infotainment display paired with a matching 12.3-inch precision cockpit. The MDX also comes with an ELS Studio audio system, but it’s been upgraded to have 25 total speakers. The incredibly-useful head-up display is also a nice touch. And like the RDX, you can also have access to ambient LED lighting, Wi-Fi hotspot and Alexa support, and wireless charging.
