A Design That Boasts Tantalizing Exclusivity

Some car companies throw the word “exclusive” around to grab people’s attention without having the means to back up the true meaning of the word, but Acura is different. Their new 2023 Acura TLX Type S PMC models are actually exclusive because there are only 300 units set for production with each and every one being hand-built at the Performance Manufacturing Center (hence the PMC title). This is the same place where the NSX supercar is made which is a nice touch. But there’s even more that we want to share with you about this amazing sports car.
 

Unique Type S PMC Badging
 

Acura wants you to know that what you’re seeing is an exclusive Type S PMC which is why you’ll find the appropriate badges all around the vehicle. But the badge placements aren’t limited to just the exterior. Right on the center console in the cabin, you’ll find another PMC badge that clearly states the unique number that represents the sedan’s place in the production line out of 300. Of course, only one of each number exists.
 

Rare And Limited Paint Jobs
 

Out of the 300 units being made, only 100 of them come in the fan-favorite Long Beach Blue Pearl which is a callback to when the first generation of NSX supercars became available. The new “Pearl” variety is an upgraded version of its predecessor.

A Fresh Take On Contrast Stitching
 

Everyone likes to brag about contrast stitching, but the TLX Type S PMC puts an interesting spin on this small detail by making the color of the stitching match the exterior paint job. Yes, that includes the Long Beach Blue Pearl.
 

More About The TLX Type S PMC’s Design

This incredible sports car instantly grabs your attention with the sleek and aggressive look that’s framed by sporty accents all around. Starting with the iconic Diamond Pentagon Grille in all black, including the large Acura logo (also in black) placed right in the middle, the dark and glossy accents are carried throughout the exterior body. You’ll find matching materials in the handles, side mirrors, exhaust tips, window trims, and even the top of the roof. To change things up a bit, the wide-spoke wheels are coated in a bronze and copper finish for an interesting appeal. And of course, it wouldn’t be a sports car without the carbon fiber rear lip spoiler.
