Acura Switches To Online-Only EV Sales In 2024

How the Online System Will Work

It’s no secret that some car dealers have been selling vehicles purely online for some time now, but they’ve all shared a major common flaw and some of them had even planned it this way on purpose. They will only sell used cars without disclosing all of their imperfections, but by the time the buyer would notice the problem, it will be too late to get things sorted out which only ends up in loads of lost cash. America Honda saw the value in the online sales concept, but of course, they will make things different by providing top-notch service with brand-new vehicles of high quality.

Walking Through the Process

With this improved system, customers will be able to start the buying process from any place with internet access. This can be anywhere from their home to any public area with phone service. Once they have chosen their desired car, they can continue the transaction at a qualifying dealer to finalize the details. After that, their custom car will be delivered to the dealership where they can pick it up whenever they want! This will save so much time and effort for everyone involved.

When Will This New System Start?

Acura was proud to announce that the very first car to utilize this new online-only purchasing system will be the 2024 Acura ZDX and ZDX Type S set to release in early 2024. Pre-orders will be available later this year, and by the time of the ZDX’s release, the brand will have all of the finer details worked out such as how the system will determine each customer’s individual price and whether or not they’ll be able to negotiate that price. This milestone will be a major stepping stone towards American Honda’s goal of moving on to 100% EV sales by 2040 and zero emissions by 2050.

While the process of becoming an all-electric company is shortly coming to fruition, Honda is putting their focus on hybrid vehicles to help people make the transition away from gas-powered cars quicker and easier.
