RSX Makes Its Debut at Monterey Car Week

Every year, leading automakers debut their newest models at the world-renowned Monterey Car Week. This year, it was Acura's opportunity to spotlight an exciting addition to its lineup. Scheduled for release in late 2026, the Acura RSX will make its debut as a fully electric model. This vehicle marks a significant milestone as Acura's first stand-alone EV, developed independently without collaboration from other brands.

About the RSX

The RSX badge may sound familiar to fans of Acura's past models. Initially, the RSX was a sporty coupe available in the early 2000s. Now, it returns with a fresh design and an advanced electric powertrain. While Acura has yet to confirm performance figures, enthusiasts got their first look at the RSX during this year's Monterey Car Week in California.

The redesigned RSX will feature a sleek, aerodynamic shape with a sloping roofline, sculpted sides, and flush-mounted door handles. A ducktail spoiler adds to its modern appeal. Distinctive lighting elements such as LED headlights and slim Daytime Running Lights further enhance its style. The model also has bold 21-inch wheels and red Brembo brake calipers.

Beyond its striking looks, the RSX will deliver a driver-focused experience. Sport-oriented features such as Brembo brakes, dual electric motors, and standard all-wheel drive will provide both performance and confidence behind the wheel.

Although Acura has not yet provided full details about the RSX's technology, it will include the ASIMO OS, an integrated infotainment and driver-assist system designed to let drivers and passengers personalize their settings.

As with other Acura vehicles, the RSX will be built using both domestic and globally sourced parts.
