2024 Acura MDX Base vs 2024 Acura Advance Package

When it comes to three-row SUVs, only some can match the reliability of the 2024 Acura MDX. Boasting a standard 290-horsepower performance, along with a leatherette-trimmed interior and a leather-wrapped steering wheel, this vehicle sets a high standard right from the start. The later trims, such as the Advance Package, elevate the MDX with even more style and power.

Performance

Both the MDX base and the Advance Package feature a 3.5L engine delivering 290 horsepower and 267 lb-ft of torque. However, the Advance Package enhances performance further with standard features like Super Handling all-wheel drive, which is optional on the base model. Additionally, the Advance Package significantly increases towing capacity, boasting 5,000 pounds compared to the base model's 3,500 pounds. Front and rear stabilizer bars ensure stability across both trims.

Appearance

Acura's signature style and luxury are evident in the base model and the Advance Package. Each includes features like a panoramic moonroof, Jewel Eye LED headlamps and heated side mirrors. However, the Advance Package takes luxury to the next level with additional features such as a power lift tailgate with hands-free access, LED outer door handle lights, and power-folding side mirrors. The Advance Package also offers larger 20-inch Premium Silver Split 10-spoke wheels compared to the base model's standard 19-inch Silver Split 5-spoke wheels.

Features

There's a notable difference in technology between the two trims. While the MDX base model comes equipped with a premium Acura audio system boasting 9 speakers, the Advance Package steps it up with a standard ELS Studio 3D premium audio system featuring 16 speakers. Additionally, the Advance Package offers more USB charging ports, a 10.5-inch head-up display, and CabinTalk technology, which are absent from the base model. Both trims feature advanced driver-assist technologies, but the Advance Package adds even more, including a Surround-View camera system, parking sensors, and a head-up warning.
