Specs at a Glance

If you're shopping for a new three-row luxury SUV, the 2026 Acura MDX deserves a close look. It delivers refined driving dynamics, eye-catching exterior styling, and exceptional comfort. When choosing a new MDX, many buyers will weigh the A-Spec® against the A-Spec® Advance trim. Here's a quick comparison of the two.

Performance

Both trims are powered by a robust 3.5-liter V6, producing 290 horsepower and 267 lb-ft of torque. Acura pairs the engine with a 10-speed automatic transmission to help the MDX perform at its best. The MDX A-Spec® and the MDX A-Spec® Advance include Acura's Super Handling AWD as standard. In addition to improving traction, this torque-vectoring AWD system sharpens the SUV's cornering ability.

Appearance

The MDX A-Spec® gets a sport-focused appearance package that emphasizes a bolder presence. Muscular bodywork and blacked-out accents create a striking look, while the 20-inch Shark Gray wheels give it a more aggressive stance. Sporty interior touches, like a flat-bottom steering wheel and stainless-steel sport pedals, heighten the driving excitement. Several vibrant exterior colors are available, including Double Apex Blue Pearl and Performance Red Pearl.

The A-Spec® Advance keeps many of the same styling elements but stands apart with exclusive 20-inch Berlina Black wheels. This trim also offers an exclusive Urban Gray Pearl paint option.

Features

The MDX A-Spec® arrives well-equipped with luxury and tech. Audiophiles will appreciate the 19-speaker Bang & Olufsen premium audio, while the 12.3-inch infotainment display with Google built in keeps connectivity seamless. Comfort features like ventilated front seats and GPS-linked climate control enhance long drives, and a panoramic sunroof adds an airy feel. Acura also includes several driver-assist systems, such as Collision Mitigation Braking System and Traffic Jam Assist, to increase confidence behind the wheel.

The MDX A-Spec® Advance raises the luxury ante with upgraded 16-way front seats with a massage function. It also adds exclusive tech, including a head-up display and a surround-view camera system, to help reduce driving stress.
